SANATANA DHARMA does not belong to any religion. Its religion is “Know Thyself”!
Sanatana Dharma was born based on Upanishadic teachings and Upanishads
are written by a group of ancient sages in order for the humankind to
know him/her self. Later on when ‘varnashrama’ came into being, the
ruling elite class (Kshatriyas) connived with Brahmins and started
interpreting and re-interpreting the ancient knowledge in their favour.
They became lazy and wanted all the materialistic comforts, and in the
process started exploiting the soodras (the lowest class of society).
They were not allowed to own anything and all the ownership rights were
with Kshatriyas and Brahmins. This became the Hindu religion.
The same thing is now happening in Christianity and Islam also. In the place of Brahmins, priests/mullas/maulavis/
Ultimately, none of the so-called religions are allowing the
individuals to know themselves. Unless the individual is extricated from
this kind of ‘organised’ mind-sets, “Know Thyself” is lost forever!
